Frequently Asked Questions
What are Content Credentials?
Content Credentials are tamper-evident metadata based on the C2PA (Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity) open standard. They record who created an asset, how it was created, and whether generative AI tools were used.
Are my files uploaded or stored on servers?
No. The verification process runs entirely locally in your web browser. Your images, videos, and audio are never transmitted to our servers, are never retained, and are not used as training data.
Does “No Content Credentials” mean the file was not made with AI?
No. If a file contains no credentials, it simply means that no cryptographic manifest was detected. Some platforms strip metadata upon upload, and not all generative AI tools embed C2PA manifests yet.
