1. Defense-in-Depth Architecture & Security Philosophy

At Lynbyte, security is built into our foundational engineering practices. We adhere to the principle of Defense-in-Depth, assuming that perimeter defenses can be challenged and requiring continuous verification at the network, compute, application, data, and human access layers.

Our security governance aligns with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework and the Center for Internet Security (CIS) benchmarks.

2. Cloud Infrastructure & Isolated Tenancy

Our engineering environments, model inference endpoints, and enterprise microservices operate within tier-1 hyperscaler data centers (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Microsoft Azure) featuring physical security controls, redundant power, and biometric facility access.

2.1 VPC Isolation & Private Peering

All workloads run within hardened Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs). Production subnets are strictly isolated from staging and development environments. Inter-service traffic traverses encrypted VPC peering connections or private AWS PrivateLink / Google Cloud Interconnect.

Production database clusters, vector stores, and model artifact storage nodes have zero public IPv4 ingress and are accessible only through authenticated internal bastion jump hosts with ephemeral SSH certificates.

2.2 Kubernetes (EKS/GKE) Hardening

Containerized services run on hardened Kubernetes clusters configured with read-only root filesystems, non-root user execution, and strict Kubernetes NetworkPolicies restricting pod-to-pod communication to authorized service meshes.

3. Cryptographic Standards & Key Management

Lynbyte enforces modern cryptographic protocols across all storage and communication boundaries:

3.1 Encryption at Rest (AES-256-GCM)

All persistent block storage volumes (AWS EBS, GCP Persistent Disks), relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), vector caches (Redis, Milvus, Pinecone), and object storage buckets (S3, GCS) are encrypted at rest using AES-256 with Galois/Counter Mode (GCM).

Master encryption keys are managed through AWS Key Management Service (KMS) or Google Cloud KMS with automated annual key rotation and separate key policies for each client engagement.

3.2 Encryption in Transit (TLS 1.3 & PFS)

All external and inter-service HTTP communications require TLS 1.3 (with fallback to TLS 1.2 minimum). Legacy protocols (TLS 1.0, 1.1) and insecure ciphers are disabled across all edge load balancers.

We enforce HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) with long pre-load headers and Perfect Forward Secrecy (PFS) using elliptic-curve Diffie-Hellman ephemeral (ECDHE) key exchange.

3.3 Secrets Management

Production secrets, third-party API keys, and cryptographic certificates are stored in dedicated key vaults (HashiCorp Vault / AWS Secrets Manager) and dynamically mounted into runtime memory with automated zeroization upon process termination.

4. AI Model Security, Checkpoint Integrity & Inference Isolation

Building and running custom generative AI systems requires specialized machine learning security practices:

Air-Gapped & On-Premises Options

For defense, financial, and healthcare clients requiring complete sovereignty, Lynbyte delivers fully air-gapped container bundles capable of executing within self-hosted, offline on-premise GPU clusters.

4.1 Digitally Signed Model Checkpoints

Foundation model weights and fine-tuned adapter checkpoints are digitally signed using cryptographic hashes (SHA-256). Pre-load integrity verification scripts confirm authenticity prior to mounting weights into GPU memory.

4.2 Adversarial Input Sanitization & Prompt Injection Defense

Inference gateways incorporate semantic validation layers to detect and neutralize prompt injection attacks, jailbreak attempts, and automated data exfiltration payloads before requests reach foundational model layers.

4.3 Stateless GPU Worker Execution

In high-throughput multi-agent and inference pipelines, GPU worker nodes operate in stateless execution modes. Context buffers, token caches, and intermediate activation tensors are actively cleared from VRAM upon completion of each inference stream.

5. Identity, Access Management & Zero-Trust Governance

We enforce strict identity verification modeled after the Google BeyondCorp Zero-Trust architecture:

5.1 Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

FIDO2 / WebAuthn hardware security keys (e.g., YubiKey) or time-based one-time passwords (TOTP) are mandatory across all corporate accounts, Google Workspace directories, GitHub organizations, and cloud consoles. SMS-based verification is strictly prohibited.

5.2 Principle of Least Privilege & JIT Access

Engineers are granted the minimum level of access required to perform their sprint assignments. Access to production systems requires Just-in-Time (JIT) elevation with peer approval, automatic session termination after four (4) hours, and immutable audit logging.

6. Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC) & DevSecOps

Security testing is integrated into our continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines:

Static Application Security Testing (SAST): Automated code analysis scans every pull request for OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, insecure dependencies, and hardcoded credentials.

Software Bill of Materials (SBOM): Continuous dependency tracking ensures rapid identification and patching of zero-day vulnerabilities in upstream libraries.

Mandatory Peer Code Review: Every source code change requires formal review and approval by at least one senior software engineer before merge into main branches.

7. Compliance Standards & Independent Audits

SOC 2 Type II: Lynbyte undergoes annual independent Service Organization Control (SOC 2) Type II examinations evaluating Security, Availability, and Confidentiality trust principles.

ISO/IEC 27001: We maintain an Information Security Management System (ISMS) governing information assets, business continuity, and risk assessment methodologies.

HIPAA Compliance: For healthcare software engagements, Lynbyte enters into Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) and configures HIPAA-compliant encrypted data storage and audit trails.

Penetration Testing: Independent CREST-accredited cybersecurity firms perform annual black-box and white-box penetration testing on Lynbyte systems. Executive summary reports are available to enterprise clients under NDA.

8. Incident Response, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT): Lynbyte operates a dedicated CSIRT equipped with 24/7 centralized SIEM monitoring, automated anomaly detection, and endpoint telemetry.

Breach Notification SLA: In the verified event of an unauthorized security incident impacting Customer Data, Lynbyte will notify affected clients in writing within forty-eight (48) hours of confirmation, followed by detailed root-cause forensic analysis.

Disaster Recovery (DR): Automated multi-region snapshots and database replication maintain a Recovery Time Objective (RTO) of under four (4) hours and a Recovery Point Objective (RPO) of under fifteen (15) minutes.

9. Responsible Vulnerability Disclosure Program

We value the global cybersecurity research community and welcome responsible security vulnerability disclosures.

If you believe you have discovered a vulnerability in any Lynbyte service or infrastructure, please email security@lynbyte.com with encrypted details.

We commit to: (a) acknowledging receipt within twenty-four (24) business hours; (b) providing an estimated remediation timeline; and (c) not pursuing legal action against researchers acting in good faith who avoid data exfiltration or service disruption.

PGP Key for Secure Disclosures

Security researchers wishing to encrypt vulnerability reports may retrieve the Lynbyte Security Operations PGP public key from our security repository or by emailing security@lynbyte.com.

10. Security Inquiries & Vendor Questionnaires
